Minor Prophets (BIB 150-151-152) Course Description:

This study of the Minor Prophets deals with the call of God upon their lives and the messages God gave them concerning His plans for His dealings with His people.

 

The Book of Romans (BIB 220-221-222) Course Description:

Romans is the Good News about the Person of the Gospel, Christ, and the power of the Gospel, which is the power of God, for the purpose of salvation to everyone that believes. The result is that the just live by faith. One purpose of this book is to clarify the principle of justification by faith; a clarification of the Mosaic Law and the new law of the Spirit of Life. In the first chapters recognize the needs of a lost and helpless humanity. Then focus on Christ’s cross and redemption as shown to be humanity’s only hope. See how Paul details the Christian’s victory over the flesh in the outliving of the in living Christ from faith to faith.

 

Jeremiah-Lamentations (BIB 314-315-316) Course Description:

The book of Jeremiah deals with the certainty of God’s judgment because of sin.  Judah was backslidden and had forsaken the Lord.  Jeremiah was called to proclaim God’s coming judgment and to turn his people back to God.  After the destruction Jeremiah prophesied that there would be restoration through the Messiah and a new covenant written on men's hearts.  Lamentations poetically expresses God’s sorrow as well as Jeremiah’s, but also expresses God’s faithfulness and call to repentance trusting Him.  Study how Jeremiah faithfully and fearlessly lived and declared the Word of the Lord.  Uncover many golden passages.  Apply them to meet the personal, national, and international needs of today.

 

Scripture Explanations I Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to examine scriptures that seem hard to understand or scriptures that have not been translated correctly.  We will translate each scripture to bring a better understanding.  You will learn reference and application.  You will also discover what the Word says, and not one’s personal views or opinion.

 

Homiletics (PAS 301-311-303) Course Description:

The study of homiletics, however, embraces all that has to do with the preparation and presentation of sermons.  The goal of homiletics is to gain the facility of preparing and presenting in an attractive and interesting way the message of God’s Word, and to do it with such effectiveness that the listeners will comprehend what they should do and be moved with conviction to do it.

 

 

 

Church History (HIS 201-202-203) Course Description:

Church History is a course that reveals in a dramatic and swift moving manner the present condition of Christendom in the light of the past.  The required text is Church History in Plain Language by Bruce L. Shelley.  The Christian story is divided into eight great ages from “The Age of Jesus and the Apostles” to the “Age of Reason and Revival” on to the present “Age of Ideologies”.  In this course grasp the entire sweep of Church history that provides and endures for all generations.

 

Leadership & Ministry Preparation Practicum (GED 401) Course Description:

This practicum is designed for Ephesians 4:11 ascension gift ministries and to train students for local church leadership; to provide a context to disciple and mentor ministry students; and, to provide leadership and ministry-related information, support, and structure.

 

Tabernacle of David (BIB 445-446-447) Course Description:

This study helps the student to understand the difference between the order of worship in the Tabernacle of Moses and the order of worship in the Tabernacle of David, which established a basis for our present-day New Testament form of worship.

 

Scripture Explanations II (BIB 408-409-410) Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to hermeneutically examine scriptures and Biblical texts that seem difficult to understand and scriptures that have not been translated correctly.  We will translate each scripture to bring a better understanding, learning reference and application.  You will study the principles of Biblical exegesis.

 

Genesis II (BIB 153-154-155) Course Description:

This course studies the book of Genesis under the headings of Adam and Eve, the serpent, Cain and Abel, Noah and the flood, and the Tower of Babel.
